Complications:

So we understand how a text book transfer works now (if not, link here)? Good – because they rarely ever go down like that. There is an endless list of things that can prevent the three parties to agree.… More SMRTETA

I am not ITK. Let’s get that out of the way early. Further, this blog will not tell you who Arsenal or anyone else will be signing this window (or any others). I’m not even going to talk about whom we’re linked with…and I’m not ITK.… More SMRTETA

Classic SMRT Thumb2015.  I can’t believe we’re here already; hoverboards, flying cars, self-tying Nikes.

Welcome to the future.

As I sit here somewhat still boozed up after a night of debaucherous board games and banging pots (followed by passing out and a very strong headache), I think it’s a good time to reflect on the year that was from an Arsenal perspective.

For many, it ends on a low. Given the number of injuries, the fact that we are not mounting a title charge, the division amongst the fans, and the vitriol being hurled at our players and manager – the latter stages of 2014 stand in stark contrast to how it began.… More SMRTETA

And so concludes my argument.  Thanks guys, you’ve been great – try the veal.

In all seriousness, there’s been a lot of speculation about the future of Arsène Wenger – will he continue once his contract expires in 2.5 years?  Who should be his replacement?  How will Arsenal fare without him?

The media and recent performances have heightened this speculation as well and although there’s been a lot of talk about the transition, I don’t think the Boss is going anywhere before the end of this season at least.  I also think it is possible that he sticks out his contract if he can get this season back on track as well.… More SMRTETA
